Ready to explore possibilities?

Starbridge is bringing back our one-day-only Creating a Life After High School sessions! Join us in a safe and encouraging environment where your student can both dream and plan. Learn about opportunities and find answers to the questions that are on everyone’s minds:

  • Where can I live?
  • What are the opportunities for learning?
  • Where can I work?
  • What can I do for fun?
  • What resources can provide support?

The individuality of each student is valued and encouraged throughout the session.

At the end of this program, participants will have the opportunity to apply for funds to support their future vision.

REGISTRATION

Registration is open to all students in Monroe County NY, ages 15-21, who are living at home and who have established DDRO eligibility. ONE family member/guardian or family friend must accompany the student for this session.

For students receiving traditional OPWDD-funded services, our grant from Region 1 Developmental Disabilities Regional Office covers the cost of your participation.

For students with a Self-Directed budget, OPWDD requires your budget to cover the cost of participation. Please check with your Support Broker if you have questions about utilizing your budget for this program.

Registration is required. To register, contact Maritza Cubi at 585-435-5481 or email mcubi@starbridgeinc.org

Please request special accommodations at least two weeks before the event.

ATTENTION: COVID-19 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

We will have fans to increase air circulation, sanitizing wipes for tables and chairs, and hand sanitizer at each table. All attendees will be required to:

  • Complete a health screening form upon arrival
  • Wear masks (Starbridge can provide masks if you do not have any)
  • Maintain 6’ social distance from other student/family pairs and instructors

If you or anyone else in your household has tested positive for coronavirus or been exposed to someone who may have coronavirus within 14 days of this session, please do not attend this session. We will offer it again in the future and want you to join us when you are well!
