Research confirms that parents of children with disabilities experience higher-than-average rates of stress, anxiety and depression. Unaddressed, this stress can impact our marriages and family relationships, as well as physical and mental health.

Presenters Rachel Howard & Kathy McCarthy-Proulx will lead us in conversation about causes and symptoms, and introduce a neurobiological and cognitive framework for understanding the impact of stress and trauma on our emotions and behavior. We will explore practical and research-based strategies to promote healing and build resilience. Together, we will explore mindfulness, self-compassion, and emotional intelligence practices that that can improve happiness, connection, and effectiveness day to day.

Registration is required. To register, use the Register button above or call 585-224-7248.

Light refreshments will be available.

Please request special accommodations at least two weeks before the event.
