The use of restraint and time out rooms in New York State schools has been an often concerning and controversial topic. In this previously recorded presentation, Dr. Nicole Turygin, PhD, and Laura Marks, Staff Attorney, will discuss prevention and best practices of restraint and time out rooms in schools. They will review legal requirements and restrictions, and discuss the potential psychological impact from the use of repeated restraint or use of time out rooms.
